Terms of Service
Last updated: October 20, 2026
These terms govern your use of Cheqvo ("Cheqvo", "we", "us") at cheqvo.com, including the free score, Full Report, Monitoring, badges, leaderboard and GitHub App. By using the service or buying a plan, you agree to them.
What Cheqvo is
Cheqvo runs automated checks on public GitHub repositories, private repositories you connect through our GitHub App, and live website URLs, and gives you a score and findings. Results are generated automatically. They can include false positives and can miss issues, including serious ones. A score reflects one scan at one point in time.
Cheqvo is not a penetration test, a full security audit, a certification, or professional security, legal or compliance advice. A good score does not mean your app is secure. You are responsible for your app's security and for reviewing and testing any fix (including AI-generated fix prompts) before you apply it.
Only scan what you're allowed to
- Only submit repositories and websites that you own or are authorized to have tested. This applies especially to live site URLs.
- Don't use Cheqvo to attack, probe, overload or gain access to systems you don't own or control, or to find weaknesses in other people's apps.
- Don't try to bypass rate limits, scan IP addresses or internal networks, resell the service, or interfere with its operation.
- Don't publish or share results to mislead others or to harm a project's owner.
We may refuse, limit or stop scans, and suspend access, if we believe these rules are broken. You are responsible for any claims that arise from targets you submit.
Payments
The Full Report is US$19, one-time, per repository or site. Monitoring is US$12/month or US$99/year and renews automatically until you cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe. Taxes, if any, are shown at checkout.
Cancelling Monitoring
Cancel any time in the customer portal linked in every Monitoring email. Monitoring keeps running until the end of the period you've paid for, then stops. Refunds follow our Refund Policy.
GitHub App
If you install the Cheqvo GitHub App, it gets read-only access to the code and metadata of the repositories you choose. It cannot write to your code. Uninstall it in GitHub settings at any time to stop scans.
Badges, score cards and leaderboard
Badges, score cards and leaderboard entries show the result of one automated scan. They are not a certification, endorsement or guarantee by Cheqvo. Leaderboard entries are opt-in by the buyer and can be removed at any time. If you believe a listing or shared score about your project is wrong or unfair, email us and we'll review it and remove it where appropriate.
No warranty
The service, reports, scores, badges and fix prompts are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cheqvo is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data, revenue, or security incidents, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid Cheqvo in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they apply only as far as the law allows.
Changes
We may update the service or these terms. The date above shows the latest version. Continuing to use the service means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Cheqvo is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where your local consumer law says otherwise.
